Integrity policy

This privacy policy describes how Europea i Malmö AB, org.nr 556464-0323, ("the Company", "we" or "us"), processes your personal data. Your privacy is important to us and we will at all times ensure that your personal data is processed in a lawful and correct manner. Below you will find information about how we process your personal data. Please note that the policy covers the use of products and services designed by Europea i Malmö AB and known on the market under the brand T-Meeting.

GDPR – The Act on the Processing of Personal Data

GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation and is a new data protection regulation from the EU that will become law in all EU member states from May 25, 2018. GDPR will replace the current Personal Data Act (PUL). The law is designed to protect the privacy of individuals and aims to modernize, harmonize and strengthen protection within the EU.

Within each EU member state there is a supervisory authority that will control this. In Sweden this authority is called the Integrity Protection Authority, formerly the Data Inspectorate. On their website there is more information and help that you can take advantage of to find out what you need to do. https://www.datainspektionen.se/dataskyddsreformen/

Basic principles of GDPR

The law is based on 7 fundamental principles:

  • Legality, correctness and transparency
  • Purpose limitation
  • Task minimization
  • Correctness
  • Storage minimization
  • Integrity and confidentiality
  • Liability

You can read about what the basic principles mean on the Swedish Data Protection Authority's website.

Legal grounds

In compliance with the principle of lawfulness, correctness and transparency, PUA needs to be supported by the General Data Protection Regulation in order for the processing of personal data to be permitted. These legal bases are that you need to have consent, contract, legal obligation, fundamental interests, public interest, exercise of official authority or balancing of interests in order to process personal data.

As the data controller, you must find out and document the legal grounds for the processing of personal data in Europea i Malmö AB's services. This may vary from case to case depending on the business, what laws you need to follow, and whether you are collecting data that is required or that would be good to have.

Personal Data Processing

In order to be able to enter into and manage agreements with you as a customer, customer service, partner, supplier, we collect and process personal data belonging to you. For our brokerage service customers (each individual user linked to the respective customer number), an account is set up on our VRX platform, through which they can manage assignments, register deviations and change passwords. The legal basis for our processing of your personal data is that it is necessary to fulfill our agreement with you or to take measures before such an agreement is entered into. If you do not provide your above-mentioned personal data, we are not able to offer our services or otherwise fulfill our commitments to you. i.e. that the processing is necessary for a purpose relating to our legitimate interest in maintaining and fulfilling our commitments in contractual relationships. If you do not provide your personal data, it is not certain that we can fulfill our commitments to the organization you represent.

We also collect and process personal data belonging to you as a visitor to our website, customer, partner or supplier for the purpose of quality assurance of our operations, statistics and analysis, to contact you and/or offer and market our services or products to you. The legal basis is that the processing is necessary for our legitimate interest in being able to develop our operations and meet your needs, to market our products and services that we believe you may be interested in. Our interest in processing your personal data for this purpose overrides your interest in protecting your personal privacy in light of the potential benefits that marketing brings to you. However, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data for direct marketing. Certain marketing measures may also be based on your consent.

Certain personal data may also be processed because the Company has a legal obligation to comply with, for example personal data as a result of the Company's accounting obligations or other obligations incumbent on us by law.
